Alternative Design Manufacturing, a growing metal fabrication company located in Siloam Springs, AR, since 1987, is seeking experienced Stick and Mig Welders to join our team!  

The specific position will perform all types of welds on many parts and materials. The job will include studying blueprints, sketches, drawings, and specs to determine the type of welding. Welders must prepare parts for welding by cleaning, inspecting, aligning, etc. The job will also require selecting proper settings on machines. Welders must start and operate manual/automatic procedures. Duties also include observing malfunctions, making adjustments, checking for completeness, assuring quality control/inspections, following safety precautions, and conferring with supervisors in case of problems. Welders must be able to process paperwork, move 50 lbs., maneuver up ladders and steps as required, and tolerate fumes, dust, heat, and noise.

Preferred applicants need strong mechanical skills and must be familiar with all phases of metal fabrication.

Electronic Wiring Technician Ad

Alternative Design Manufacturing & Supply, Inc., a growing metal fabrication company located in Siloam Springs, AR since 1987, has an opening for an experienced Electronic Wiring Technician to join our team!

Position Overview: The electronic wiring position plays a key role in fulfilling various duties and responsibilities including assembling electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components and subassemblies according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Read work orders, follow production drawings, and sample assemblies, or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
• Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fits, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
• Connect component lead wires to printed circuits or routes and connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
• Test, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical issues found.
• Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
• Assemble and attach hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
• Maintain production records.
• Perform online go-no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
• Perform assigned tasks as required.
• Work in a safe manner.
• Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
• Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by the Company and OSHA.

Requirements

• Technical Certification preferred (electronics/electrical field)
• 3+ years of electronic wiring experience or a related field required.
• Must be able to diagnose and repair electronic equipment and also interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
• Knowledge of electrical wiring techniques and the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively. 
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.  
• Must have good decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
• Must have a team effort mentality and work well with others.

Press Brake Operator

POSITION SUMMARY 

Tends to fabricate machines such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punch; that cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Read/understand engineering blueprints to layout, measure, and mark workpieces.
• Sets up, operates, and trains all fabricating machines such as brakes, shears, wire straightener, ironworker, cutting equipment, and turret.
• Sets stop or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
• Positions workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
• Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate the machine.
• Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
• Measures piece dimensions to determine the accuracy of machine operation.
• Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces.
• Set up the machine, stack, mark, pack, and transport finished workpieces.
• Follows verbal/written instructions regarding duties to be performed.
• Maintains production records.
• Performs online go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
• Perform assigned tasks as required.
• Work in a safe manner.

Requirements:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

· 3 + years experience or the equivalent of experience and education in machine operation, strong skills in mechanics

· Familiar with all phases of metal fabrication

· Must be able to read blueprints and be detail-oriented

· These positions require the ability to reason and make decisions, basic math, and computer skills are a plus
